At this point in the process, the piece finally came to life and changed from an image on paper to artwork on a human canvas. This was such an exciting and beautiful experience for me.
Next, I started to design a butterfly metamorphosis for the rest of the second sleeve. The metamorphosis was thought to wind around one arm from a half caterpillar half human form into a Blue Morpho butterfly.
My process began with a detailed outline, then I added color with colored-pencils.
